Podcasts are a great way to multi-task and learn something while doing something else. You can listen while you drive, cook dinner, work out, and catch up with social media. I recently shared a few podcasts that I find extremely beneficial for learning how to take control and manage your money. Now I’d like to share a few more to add to your list and expand your financial knowledge.
Her Money with Jean Chatzky
After a series of low-paying jobs and bouncing around her career path a bit, Jean ended up with Money Magazine and Oprah. Along the way, she made numerous financial mistakes like spending more than she made, maxing out credit cards with high interest rates, withdrawing money from her 401(k), and giving control of her money to other people. She finally realized that she needed to understand money so that she could fix her financial life once and for all. With several books and talk shows to her credit, Jean also has this podcast that is for women and by women to teach women what they need to know to get their own financial life under control. In addition to her own episodes, Jean also interviews dozens of other financial experts.
Budgets & Cents
Cait Flanders and Carrie Smith are helping everyday people get themselves out of debt and into a better financial situation. Through mindful budgeting, Cait has been able to pay off $30,000 in debt and started living on half of her income. Carrie has also managed to pay off thousands in debt and now helps freelancers grow their own client-based businesses. They are sharing their stories as a way to inspire others who want to start a business, travel more, or just get out of debt and live more consciously.
The Financial Ginger
Even as a college student, Jacob Brad Johnson has a long list of accomplishments in the financial field. He strongly believes that anyone can live an abundant life by not only managing their resources but also associating behaviors with desires and making conscious choices about their money. This podcast is a community to share visions, goals, and feelings so you can learn how to take control of your finances.
Retire Inspired
Former All-American football player Chris Hogan turned to financial planning when his playing days were over. He saw too many families in trouble due to their financial situations and decided he had to do something in order to change the way he helped people. For over a decade, he has been with Ramsey Solutions (Dave Ramsey) as a financial coach. He helps people plan for their future and reach their retirement goals. Known as an engaging and electrifying speaker, he is also a corporate trainer and shares his knowledge with college students. His approach is one that’s easy to understand and put into action to get your finances on track for a healthy future.
If you haven’t started listening to financial podcasts yet, now’s the time and these podcasts are a great place to start.
